Love Letters to My Clients

A letter is an intimate expression of feelings and thoughts delivered from person to person to convey a message from the heart.  Letters are capable of capturing a moment in time and can serve as a marker in history while also revealing parts of a soul and the deepest emotions.

I often encourage my clients to write a letter reflecting on their own relationships, dreams, hopes, and feelings for a loved one celebrated in portraiture.  This letter becomes a gift to a child, partner, and even a parent when a photograph passes from one generation to another, one home to another, one hand to another.  

I have recently been reflecting on my journey as a photographer and the blessing that it has been to tell the stories of my clients through photography and share such magical moments together.  From this heart swell, came the inspiration to write letters to my clients - a gift to them from my heart, but also a gift to me as I celebrate the stories we have captured together for more than a decade.
