Dear Izabela,

I was remembering recently when I received my first call from you over a decade ago.  You were looking for someone who would be your “family photographer.”  The one who would document milestones, the growth of the boys, and the love in your family.  It was after our first session when we met for lunch that you told me “We connect and bond through the experiences that we share.  And when we look at photographs, that triggers that connection…and the moments and the emotions.  That is the foundation of a family.”

It has been such a gift to be your family photographer.  You are one of the most fiercely passionate women and mothers I have ever known. You are a consummate protector.  You love your boys without limits and the portraits we have created together show them – and everyone who enters your home – who comes first in your life.

Izabela, you are a force.  In your work. In your friendships.  In everything you do, but especially as a mother.  You are equal parts beautiful, powerful, kind, graceful, brilliant, nurturing, and loving.  And your boys are charming and compassionate, each with their own unique light that radiates from within. It has been an incredible gift to be a part of your family over these years.  To learn from you, to capture the story of your family as it has grown and changed, and to develop our own friendship which I treasure. 

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be your family’s photographer and for inviting me into your lives to capture the connection, the moments, and the emotions that are the unwavering foundation of your family.
