Prospect Park is one of Brooklyn’s greatest treasures.
It has been serving as a refuge for an incredibly diverse community in Brooklyn and for wildlife for more than 150 years. It is a place to escape the pressures of life, keep healthy in body and soul, and come together in celebrations with friends, family, and neighbors. The Park means something unique and different to each one of us. We all have a very different first memory of or personal connection to Prospect Park.
As part of Prospect Park’s 150thAnniversary year, I partnered with the Alliance to capture the stories of some of the Park’s friends, advocates, and visitors. Their portraits and stories are now on display as part of the Faces and Stories of Prospect Park exhibit showing at the Lefferts Historic House now through January 1, 2019. This exhibit is a photo testament to the individuals, couples, families, friends, and even canines, that make up the vibrant landscape of Prospect Park.
